30×30 Challenge: Getting Outside, Week 2 Photo Collage

Not sure what I’m talking about?  Catch up on the 30×30 Challenge here.

Another great week outside!  This project is fun because it reminds me to look around and really enjoy everything that I’m seeing when I go for my mini-Nature Walks.  I’ll continue to post this week’s 30×30 photos on Twitter and Facebook.

Where you able to get outside much in the last couple of days?  Does it make you feel happier?

Great! I will check it out!
Hey what kind of moisturizer do you use?
It is so dry here and my skin reacts to everything even organics! I have to use oil free. My skin doesn’t know I am not a teenager….

I make my own moisturizer. 🙂 I have ridiculously oily skin! By 9am I always used to look like a grease ball and by noon, all of makeup was gone. I found that the ONLY thing that helped was using an oil-based lotion. It seemed that once I applied the correct type of oil to my skin, my natural sebum levels kept themselves in check. I can make it through the whole day and not look greasy now. Apricot kernel and grapeseed oils are a dream for my skin. If you don’t want to try the oil-based lotion (yet 😉 ) then I would suggest giving raw honey a try. Keep a bottle in the shower and just before you get out, smooth a layer of honey on your face, massage it in, then rinse quickly with warm water. Honey is a humectant and actually draws moisture from the air, so it will keep your skin hydrated. You can also give my oatmeal mask a try, it has VERY gentle ingredients that your skin shouldn’t react to: http://hellogiggles.com/calming-oatmeal-facial. This is my recent article on honey as a moisturizer: http://hellogiggles.com/raw-honey-sticky-delicious-and-great-for-your-face

Hope that helps and thanks for asking!
