I read a blog post recently about a person who used to pass an old boat on their travels…they passed this old boat daily for 5 years and one day they noticed someone removing it. It suddenly took on an incredible amount of importance in this persons life because this boat had been with them for 5 years through the birth of their child, the sad times…the happy times and although it was an inanimate object it meant something to them and once it was gone the loss felt palpable and real. Sometimes what we see is more important to us than we might initially realise and when/if it goes, it matters.
