How To Determine The Resolution and Aspect Ratio Of Your Computer Screen

If you already know the resolution of your screen, you can proceed directly to the Resolution and Aspect Ratio Chart.

Automatic Option: Visit this site and it will determine your screen size automatically.

Manual Options:

Directions for a PC/Windows

  1. Right click on your computer desktop and a small menu will pop up.
  2. Select “Screen resolution” (you may need to first select “Properties” and click the “Settings” tab).
  3. Your screen size, or resolution, will be displayed (1366 x 768, 1024 x 768, etc.). The size that is currently selected, is your computer screen size. Match this to the file size provided in the Download Gallery. If the size of your screen is not offered in the gallery, use the Resolution and Aspect Ratio Chart to select the best size.

Directions for a Mac/Apple

  1. Click on the apple symbol in the upper left-hand corner of your computer screen.
  2. Click on “System Preferences”.
  3. A new screen will open, click on “Displays” one time.
  4. A list of computer screen sizes will appear (1024 x 768, 1280 x 800, etc.). The size that is currently selected, is your computer screen size. Match this to the file size provided in the Download Gallery. If the size of your screen is not offered in the gallery, use the Resolution and Aspect Ratio Chart to select the best size.
