Wings and Stingers – Texture, Pattern, Color Palette v.6

I’ve always loved the idea of looking at everyday objects and finding inspiration in them.  I often find myself looking for interesting textures, patterns and colors that evoke an emotion or response from me.  Below is a palette that I recently put together using photos from around my house.  I hope you enjoy it!

Check out more of my Texture, Pattern, Color palettes here.

I’ve been busy with “real life” lately but, oh hooray! It’s lavender seed season. 🙂

There’s something delicious about that palette…honey and bread and toast and eggs…

That’s one of my favorite stormy day treats…a piece of nutty toast with honey drizzled on top!

Pretty soon your heated seat in the Northern Hemisphere will be more suitable to pieces of nutty toast with honey drizzled on top. Maybe the 0C weather overnight made me think of food with regards to that delicious palette? Winter certainly condenses your thoughts down to base instinct doesn’t it! 😉

Oh my goodness, it’s been a long time since I’ve experienced 0C weather! I used to live further up north where it got cooold, but down here in Florida we only get 0C weather once, maybe twice a year. But yesterday during when Tropical Storm Issac passed by, it did get a bit chilly and the rainy weather made everything inside seem that much cozier!

The only thing that we know about Florida here is that there are supposedly a LOT of old people retiring there and that there are swamps…LOTS of swamps…AND swamp people (Steve’s favourite channel seems to deal exclusively with people from the swamp and their nefarious doings 😉 ). I prefer the cold but 0C sometimes has knobs (and chillblains) on it! We don’t get over winter till the last frosts at the beginning of October here and 0C is a whole lot warmer than 0F believe me! 😉
