Today, we briefly set aside our divisions, our trials and our controversies to come together and celebrate the American Spirit in it’s purest form, that of the pioneer, of opportunity and of freedom.
And tonight as people gather together, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with mouths slightly agape as they stare up a the night sky, I’ll look around me and be grateful to see that despite our differences we can still stand together and gaze in collective wonder.
